This is a senior, hands‑on role suited to an experienced antitrust economist who enjoys owning matters end‑to‑end, shaping case strategy, and acting as a trusted adviser to both clients and testifying experts. The Role
The Director will be responsible for leading complex antitrust engagements from initial strategy through final deliverables. You'll play a key role in developing case theory, guiding analytical approaches, and ensuring that all work is robust, defensible, and clearly communicated. The role also involves close interaction with senior lawyers, in‑house counsel, and expert witnesses, as well as meaningful responsibility for mentoring and developing junior staff. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage antitrust engagements, including market definition, competitive effects, liability, and damages analysis. Serve as a senior point of contact for clients and testifying experts. Shape case strategy, draft and review expert reports, and oversee sophisticated economic analyses. Provide intellectual leadership to project teams, ensuring analytical rigor and high‑quality work product. Mentor and supervise Analysts and Consultants, supporting their technical and professional development. Contribute to broader firm initiatives such as recruiting, staffing, and practice development. Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will bring deep experience in antitrust economics and a proven ability to lead complex matters in a litigation or regulatory context. Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in Economics or a closely related field. Significant experience working on antitrust matters in consulting, government, or a closely related environment. Strong understanding of U.S. antitrust frameworks and their practical application. Comfortable managing teams, reviewing complex analyses, and communicating economic concepts clearly to non‑economists. Experience working directly with senior legal stakeholders and expert witnesses.
