Overview
Job Description The individual selected for this role will work at Store #3096, located at 1913 So. Robert Street, West St. Paul, MN 55118, and other locations within a 10 mile radius. This is a part-time position. Starting pay is $16.68/hr or based on relevant experience. Color Mixer Specialists tint and mix paint to customer specifications. They work with wholesale and retail customers to determine needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend solutions. They stay up-to-date with product features and maintain high quality and visual standards of products and the store. They are expected to deliver excellent customer service while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals. Color Mixer Specialists may contact customers, including minors, and may have access to cash, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value. The company conducts a review of criminal history to protect its operations, customers, staff, and the public.
Responsibilities
Prepare customers\' paint orders quickly and accurately
Tint and mix products to customer specifications
Prepare drawdowns for submittal to customers
Clean, fill, and repair equipment as needed
Maintain precise work order files and formulas
Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
Stock shelves and set up displays
Clean store equipment
Load/unload delivery trucks
Assist in making deliveries, as needed
Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
Process sales transactions accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures
Maintain in-stock and presentable condition in assigned areas
Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
Comply with inventory control procedures
Suggest ways to improve sales
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends
If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position
Preferred Qualifications: Have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
Have at least a High School diploma or GED
Have at least one (1) year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service
Have previous experience selling paint and paint-related products
Have previous experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
