JOB SUMMARY Using exemplary customer service skills, the Counter Sales Representative will assist walk-in customers in an efficient and professional manner by promptly greeting customers, taking and processing orders, offering price quotations and product availability using Prophet 21 software (training provided), providing quick and thoughtful solutions to customer inquiries, and consistently maintain a clean and organized workspace. To be successful as a counter salesperson, you should provide excellent customer service, consistently maintain the image and vision of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Learn to identify type of fastener as well as various attributes visually or with the help of tools such as calipers, templates, and catalogs.
QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Ability to exercise good judgement while working independently and with a team. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, dependable and reliable. Excellent communication and customer service skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail a must. Bilingual in English and Spanish or Vietnamese a plus!
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Requires extended periods of standing. Able to read documents, computer screens, and make entries into the software system. May require extensive walking. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Pay Salary Range: $21-$23 per hour DOE
This role is eligible for the Company bonus plans. Olander complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and determines compensation based on candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, experience, and internal equity.
