The Henny Penny convenience stores are operated by Petroleum Marketing Group, Inc. (PMG), a family-owned company. PMG acquired these stores from Hendels, Inc. on October 2, 2018. The sites have served Connecticut (CT) residents since 1949. As part of its fuel distribution business, Hendels developed a network of gasoline stations over the years. We own, operate, and/or supply over 20 sites across Connecticut with an annual fuel volume of over 700 million gallons. Job Description:
The Sales Associate consistently meets and exceeds customer expectations by providing an exceptional experience. Responsibilities include working with team members and supporting management in tasks related to customer service, merchandising, food preparation, daily cleaning, cash register duties, and other store operations. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, and other options.
Daily Responsibilities:
Greet customers and deliver exceptional service using G.R.E.A.T. Customer Service principles.
Operate the cash register following PMG standards, including cash handling, returns, voids, no sales, record keeping, lottery management, and shift documentation.
Perform store tasks efficiently, including merchandising, stocking, food service, cooler merchandising, vendor check-ins, and communicating issues to management.
Ensure safety and operational policies are followed.
Work with integrity, honesty, and respect.
Assist management with other tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation
Flexible availability
Commitment to excellent customer service
Ability to work well in a team
Strong communication skills
Goal-oriented and organized
Ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs
