The Retail Salesperson will assist customers with purchasing merchandise. Responsibilities

Greet and interact with customers. Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise. Sells to customers using suggestive selling, and tie-in selling and upselling. Rotate stock when new merchandise comes in. Ensure sales areas are kept neat, clean, dusted, and inventory in the correct place. Ensure merchandise has proper tags and labeling. Ensure back stock is kept neat and orderly, checked, and stocked daily. Maintain end caps and rotate end cap merchandise once a month. Thorough knowledge about how to place special orders and utilize the Do It Best Catalog. Place orders and assist charge customers with questions and issues. Compliance with Hacienda uniform policy. Ongoing completion of online training. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities

Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent active listening skills. Excellent sales and customer service skills. Extensive knowledge of the merchandise sold. Ability to anticipate customers’ needs. Ability to recommend merchandise to customers. Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store’s point-of-sale system. Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous retail experience preferred. On-the-job training provided. Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
