Job Summary The Activities Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for all participants. This role involves supervising children, leading age-appropriate activities, and ensuring each child feels welcomed, included, and cared for while participating in the scheduled activity or event.

Job Responsibilities

Supervise children and ensure their safety and well-being at all times

Lead fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities (games, crafts, sports, etc)

Engage positively with children and encourage participation

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment

Follow all child safeguarding policies and procedures

Assist with daily check-in/check-out procedures and attendance records

Communicate politely and professionally with parents/guardians and team members

Observe children’s behavior and report any concerns or incidents to the supervisor

Support special events, themed days, group activities and other family and children’s activities

Encourage, recruit, register and schedule guests to participate in recreational activities

Promote a fun and engaging atmosphere for guests

Maintain inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment

Job Requirements

Experience working with children in a group setting

Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic personality

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to manage groups of children and resolve minor conflicts

Basic knowledge of child development and play-based learning

First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) and all additional assigned training courses

Ability to work outside all day and during extreme weather

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous experience in childcare, camps, schools, or recreational programs preferred

Essential Job Function

Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Active role involving standing, playing, and supervising children
