Salary: $17.75
Job Summary Provides the highest level of customer service as patient’s single point of contact for resolution of outstanding balances relating to billing, insurance or payment of accounts. Responds to all inquiries from patients and/or guarantors regarding account balances and insurance status. Reports appropriate accounts for bad debt review. Ensures collection compliances with the state of NM and LCDF policies and maintains stringent collection procedures.

Good communication skills; both verbal and written.
Superior customer service skills, active listening and dealing with “difficult” people.
Must have data entry and math skills.
Must possess ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
Ability to interpret policies and guidelines and make appropriate judgments where no clear precedent exits.
Knowledge of all insurance payer billing procedures and requirements for all professional claim and technical claims forms, and ICD-10, CPT-4 and HCPC coding.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Job Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent and/or completion of a medical terminology course.
Two years of experience in medical billing, medical collections, and insurance reimbursement or customer service in a medical setting.
Ability to work in high stress environment
