Summary The Sales Associate’s primary function is to sell and promote Perry Ellis merchandise by executing Perry Ellis customer service standards. Responsibilities include greeting customers when they enter the store, helping customers find specific products or showing them how to use them, and ringing up customer purchases on the POS register.
Responsibilities
Interact with customers in a courteous, friendly manner (e.g., maintain eye contact, smile).
Generate maximum sales potential in accordance with the Perry Ellis customer service standards.
Build a repeat customer base through excellent PE Loyalty Program data capture.
Maintain strong knowledge regarding product, promotions, and special events in order to communicate to customers more effectively.
Consistently foster a positive store experience by treating all customers and staff members fairly and consistently.
Effectively maintain floor coverage; acknowledge every customer; treat customers with priority over assigned tasks.
Remain consistently productive throughout the entire shift (e.g., effectively use idle time to replenish products, maintain visual displays, engage with customers, etc.).
Consistently report to work on time.
Demonstrate flexibility with your schedule.
Understand individual and store sales goals.
Follow all operational policies and procedures.
Follow guidance from management to execute visual standards, recovery, and replenishment.
Requirements
Athletic apparel retail experience preferred.
Energetic and positive attitude.
Retail experience is preferred.
Strong verbal and written skills.
Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
Customer service‑oriented: outgoing, friendly, and personable with a positive attitude.
