Location: Austin, TX
Benefits & Compensation Hourly pay: $19.00 per hour. Overview The Merchandiser II is responsible for performing merchandising activities and constructing displays of SGWS products in key retail accounts as requested by Sales Team or retail customers. This role provides support to Sales Reps by ordering products and may be required to expedite product delivery on an emergency basis.
Primary Responsibilities
Build and maintain merchandising/display materials for all products
Position merchandise and create a customer‑ready selling floor
Ensure store appearance and merchandise displays follow plans, selling history and new receipts
Consult with buyers, marketing, and sellers on product positioning and presentation plans
Place product orders on behalf of the Sales Rep
Service local stores and refill existing displays to keep products fully stocked
Create and coordinate the visual presentation of merchandise, including store layout and exhibits
Distribute and install refund offers, neck hangers, shelf‑talkers, and price signs on products sold by the Company
Fill cold box and warm shelves at client accounts with products sold by the Company
Refill and re‑merchandise existing displays of products sold by the Company
Assemble, install and fill all types of display racks
Pick up and deliver special orders, mail, and merchandise
Perform sales support functions, including use of current point‑of‑sale marketing materials, oversight of shelf space in the chain territory manager's accounts, and consistent communication with the representative regarding changes in buyer preferences or out‑of‑stock inventory concerns during weekend hours
Reset alcoholic beverages at the store level (e.g., rearranging products using an authorized plan within an assigned territory/geographic region)
Implement the authorized plan/schematic developed by various chain headquarters; accuracy in evaluation, application and execution is essential
Introduce new products, reinforce established and agreed‑upon case volume and display activity, and monitor in‑store promotion results
Stay abreast of business/market conditions, recognize new opportunities within each account, maintain the necessary territory records and support the sales representative’s visibility and market saturation in the account
Build and develop trust and confidence of the retailer through knowledge of SGWS policies and procedures and prompt, courteous resolution of inventory discrepancies
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience
Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance as required by state laws
Must be at least 21 years of age
Physical Demands
May be required to sit and type or use a computer or mobile device for large portions of the shift
Walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping may be required
May require lifting, lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 48 lbs
