Role Description We are looking for friendly, energetic people who genuinely enjoy connecting with others to join our tasting room team.
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Indianapolis, IN, for a Winery Tasting Room Advocate. The role involves welcoming guests and providing exceptional customer service during wine tastings, assisting in wine sales, and educating visitors about the winery's wines and regenerative agriculture practices. Additional responsibilities include performing regular inventory checks, maintaining cleanliness in the tasting room, and participating in winery events. The advocate will ensure guests enjoy an unforgettable experience that reflects The Rejoicing Vine’s values of community and stewardship.
Hours: ~20 hours per week
Compensation: $20+ per hour
Responsibilities
Greet and engage guests in a warm and professional manner
Serve wine and guide guests through tastings
Take orders and process transactions accurately
Share knowledge about our wines, story, and offerings
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting tasting room
Support special events and busy weekend service
Qualifications
A true people person who enjoys hospitality and conversation
Availability to work evenings and weekends
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Previous hospitality, restaurant, or wine experience is a plus, but not required
Applicants must be 21+ and obtain a servers permit by their start date
Ability to work farmers markets a plus, see farmers market position for details
