
In-House Real Estate Counsel – Industrial Real Estate

SkyREM is seeking a motivated and business-minded In-House Real Estate Counsel to support legal operations across our growing portfolio of industrial real estate assets. This is a hands‑on role for an attorney who has prior in‑house or real estate transactional experience and is eager to take ownership, work directly with senior leadership, and grow alongside a rapidly expanding platform.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, practical, and excited to operate as a strategic legal counsel to acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, financing, and portfolio operations. This role offers exceptional exposure to high-level decision‑making, deal execution, and long‑term career growth within a family‑office investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
Transactional Support
Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, amendments, easements, and related real‑estate documents Support acquisition and disposition closings, including coordination with outside counsel, title companies, and lenders Assist in structuring joint ventures, partnership agreements, and development arrangements Leasing and Asset Management
Review and negotiate industrial leases, renewals, expansions, and tenant modifications Advise asset management and operations teams on lease interpretation and compliance matters Support resolution of tenant disputes, defaults, and operational legal issues Financing and Corporate Support
Assist with loan documentation, credit facilities, guaranties, and lender negotiations Support corporate governance, entity management, and internal policy development Risk Management and Compliance
Identify legal risks across the portfolio and propose practical solutions Oversee insurance coordination and claims support Manage relationships with external legal counsel when specialized support is required Strategic Partnership
Work closely with executive leadership, acquisitions, accounting, and asset management teams Provide clear, business‑oriented legal guidance to support rapid and confident decision‑making Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction 3–7 years of legal experience, with a focus on real‑estate transactions, leasing, or corporate law Prior in‑house experience or experience representing real‑estate owners, developers, or investment funds strongly preferred Strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast‑moving environment Interest in long‑term career growth within a real‑estate investment platform Why Join Us?
