
Director of Nuclear Site Engineering

This position is responsible for managing the Site Engineering Department at Perry Nuclear Power Plant to provide strategic alignment, tactical plant support engineering, and daily technical support for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the nuclear plant.
Key Accountabilities
Manage organization staffing and performance to achieve a high level of productivity and positive motivation. Provide timely resolution to technical problems to contribute to safe, reliable and cost - effective plant operation. Provide engineering recommendations and priorities important to the day-to-day operation of Perry Nuclear Power Plant. Control costs within approved budget limits. Review and approve activities affecting design and operation of structures, systems and components important to nuclear safety. Interface with State and Federal regulators to demonstrate continued safe operation of Perry Nuclear Power Plant. Coordinate/plan major scope work with teaming members (ex. OEM vendors) on Plant Systems. Review and prioritize the recommended Design Modifications effecting the safe and reliable operation of Vistra's Perry Nuclear Power Plant. Foster an organizational culture that promotes the utilization of diverse backgrounds and experiences. Education, Experience & Skill Requirements
Degree in Engineering or related field At least 10 years of related experience Technical understanding of nuclear plant processes/programs SRO Certification/License for Nuclear Power Plant Preferred Knowledge of nuclear codes, standards and regulations; budgeting, planning and scheduling, Vistra policies and procedures, nuclear station policies and procedures, and nuclear safety analysis and principles and practices Key Metrics
