Overview RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Director of Security Operations. The Director of Security Operations will be responsible for managing IT Security Operations, Security support, Security operations center and the threat hunting program. The Director will lead the teams to strengthen and mature RWJBarnabas Health’s defensive posture to protect its proprietary data, physical infrastructure and resources from internal and external threats. The Director will work with the Security Operations team to transform successful threat hunts into new detection methods and opportunities for automation. Plan cyber war games in the form of the Purple Team exercises to build expertise in the team.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security desired (7 years of experience may be substituted for degree)
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification preferred
Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA) preferred
Training in Purple Team, SANS Certification preferred
Qualifications
Preferred: Four (4) years’ experience in active Threat Intelligence Analysis and purple team exercises
Minimum: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Senior cyber security analyst performing intelligence analysis, collection management, and technical analysis
Knowledge of current cyber threat actors, APTs, and the MITRE ATT&CK and NIST Frameworks
Hands on experience with SIEM, Threat Intelligence Tools, Security Orchestration and Automation
Good knowledge of Windows, Linux operating systems, and networking protocols
Experience with LDAP, single sign-on technologies, and web access management tools
Responsibilities
Understand, analyze and monitor the cyber threat landscape, cyber threat actors, and APT TTPs activities to enhance the cybersecurity posture of the RWJBarnabas Health environment.
Proactively monitor and analyze cyber threats to RWJBarnabas Health.
Model and analyze the likelihood that an emerging threat will impact the organization.
Provide delivery of threat intelligence papers and recommendations to risk and technology teams to enable the timely effectiveness of mitigation and remediation efforts.
Engage with internal and external resources to provide input and requirements to strengthen threat mitigation tactics
Analyze internal and external data and controls to identify security weaknesses.
Manage and consolidate the cyber threat data sources, compile reports and provide regular consultation and threat briefings to CISO.
Provide IT security SME knowledge and support during applicable IT security incidents.
