Position Description: CGI Federal is seeking an experienced and highly skilled growth and delivery Director of IT Consulting to lead technology initiatives and drive innovation within our organization and with our clients for a federal agency within our Civilian business unit. This role will be responsible for developing and overseeing IT strategy, governance, and policy, as well as planning and overseeing complex IT programs and projects. The Director will provide strategic leadership and direction, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives, while fostering growth and business development opportunities.

Location This position is located in Baltimore, MD

Responsibilities

Oversee teams responsible for processing over 10,000 mainframe and distributed batch jobs daily for enterprise-wide mission-applications.

Maintain mainframe and distributed environments on a 24x7-availability basis and the batch processing must be completed on time and with accuracy.

Provide support/guidance for multi-platform batch environments and facilitate transition to an IT Modernized / Agile approach to releasing software to production.

Facilitate environments for the Internet and Intranet and maintain and support the infrastructure on a daily basis.

Provide technical assistance in resolving problems and rendering assistance with application change management related to the WebSphere, ColdFusion, and iPlanet infrastructures.

Design and maintain the 24x7 UNIX/Linux server infrastructures that support critical web-based applications.

Assist stakeholders in designing, establishing and implementing Pega platform in the DEV, TEST, INT and PROD environments.

Assist in building, configuring and tuning infrastructure platform and Pega application components.

Provide problem resolution that includes the diagnosis and root cause analysis of problems with the Sun Solaris environment including hardware and software on the Sun Solaris distributed platforms.

Design, develop, and maintain the Data Center Virtualization Infrastructure.

Provide technical assistance in engineering an infrastructure solution to support the CI/CD container infrastructure, onboarding applications and users onto the Platform, and resolving problems and rendering assistance with application change management related to OpenShift Container Platform.

Maintain the highest quality communications and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

Ability to obtain and maintain US public trust clearance.

Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field and a minimum of 15 years of experience in IT program management, with a focus on large, complex government programs.

Extensive industry experience in IT solutions, architecture, and best practices with a high level of subject matter knowledge.

Experience growing and managing a portfolio of programs.

Proven track record of successful leadership in managing complex IT programs and diverse teams.

Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.

Excellent leadership and management skills to guide teams toward program success.

Ability to drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence in IT program delivery.

Demonstrated financial management skills, including budgeting, tracking expenses, and financial reporting.

Superior oral and written communication skills to convey complex issues and reports to stakeholders.

Desired / Nice to Have

Skills and ability of application development to assist application developers with optimal design solutions for applications residing in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux infrastructures.

Knowledge of WebSphere, ColdFusion, Tomcat and Apache Application Server platforms for both configuration and troubleshooting of hosted applications.

Knowledge of SAS/VIYA version(s) built on Infrastructure as a Service (virtual machine and EC2 AWS instances) and/or version 4 Container/Kubernetes based infrastructure.

Knowledge and abilities of security infrastructure such as CA Control Minder, Red Hat Identity Manager (RH iDM), etc.

Knowledge of Monitoring Tools such as Dynatrace, Introscope and Nagios.

Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as used in solutions development for Commercial off the Shelf Software (COTS) and/or Government of the Shelf (GOTS) software solutions.

Knowledge, skills and abilities of the architecture of OpenShift Container Platform.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the architecture, deployment and operation of Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).

Compensation A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,800.00 - $223,200.00.
