Overview
SALESCLERK - LAWN & GARDEN (PT)
Reports to: Store Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor on duty.
Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly, PART-TIME
To provide the best customer service and maximize sales through efficient execution of Company procedures and to uphold the Gold Standards.
JOB SUMMARY To provide the best customer service and maximize sales through efficient execution of Company procedures and to uphold the Gold Standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Help customer locate merchandise and inform of any product knowledge that may be helpful.
Verify proper product rotation and basic stocking of merchandise.
Operate handheld Telxon and maintain inventory accuracy.
Remove damaged merchandise from floor as needed.
Follow company guidelines for department merchandising and setting store ads.
Ensure a safe and clean work environment while following loss prevention and safety procedures.
Assist customers with special order requests and sales.
Attend store and job-related meetings along with completion of required Outfitter training.
Communicate with Customers, Management and all store employees.
Follow all applicable Company, local, state and federal guidelines.
Ensure that your work area is clean and has sufficient supplies to complete assigned duties.
As needed, operate cash registers and assist with customer carry outs.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Ability to operate pallet jacks and/or tow motors.
Weightlifting capability up to and including 50 lbs.
Consistent attendance for regularly scheduled work shifts is required.
Other duties and responsibilities that may be required to meet the needs of the business.
Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to carry merchandise for a distance up to 50 feet and be able to stand on concrete for up to eight hours.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Age requirement is 16 years old.
Must possess great customer service and communication skills.
Positive attitude with a passion for collaborating with Team Members that want to grow.
Team Members who average a minimum of 25 hours per week for six months of employment are eligible for standard dental, vision, legal, identity fraud, and accident insurance per the standard Company eligibility requirements.
