Compensation $10.00 to $13.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process! Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.21 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions and assists with inquiries and problem resolution. This role involves a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

This full‑time position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay is determined by location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.

Performs non‑management open/close procedures.

Maintains the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.

Conducts sales and loan transactions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies.

Answers incoming calls per company standards.

Explains legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.

Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, demonstrating respect and teamwork.

Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.

Completes assigned training successfully.

Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.

May assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage areas.

Minimum age: 18 years old.

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.

Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.

Proficient basic math calculation skills.

Cash handling experience preferred.

Flexible to work at multiple locations as business needs dictate.

Flexible to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Computer literate and able to operate Point‑Of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed commission information will be provided during the interview process.
