Airgas is hiring for a Relief Driver/Counter Sales Associate in Athens, GA! We are looking for you!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations, record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, and obtain signatures from customers for receipt purposes.

Collect empty cylinders or rejected or unsold merchandise and return them to a plant or branch location for refilling.

Perform cylinder inspections per operating procedures.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies; ensure all safety items are in good working order.

Work in warehouse or on dock as needed.

Sell industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to customers.

Solicit sales from new and existing customers, managing associated paperwork for future reference.

Coordinate cylinder and hardgoods deliveries, maintain showroom displays.

Required Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must have a Class A or B CDL.

Must have HAZMAT endorsement or be able to obtain the endorsement within 60 days of being hired.

Must have at least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the last 5 years.

Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check.

DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required.

Ability to routinely lift 25–75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76–100 lbs.

Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures.

Ability to maintain a drug‑free workplace.

Adherence to safety regulations and policies.

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Forklift Experience.

Customer Service experience.

Touch freight delivery experience.
