Overview
This NYC-based Sales Representative role involves cold‑calling, pitching, and closing restaurant clients on a revolutionary POS system. Candidates must have 1+ years of restaurant industry experience (FOH/BOH) and sales experience.
This position offers a $4,000/month base, high upfront commissions up to $3,000 per location, no residuals, and a 40‑hour work week.
We are a premier fintech provider revamping our New York sales team. We are looking for high‑energy, hunter‑mentality sales professionals with a background in the restaurant industry to sell our point‑of‑sale systems and payments technology. This is a B2B outside sales role focused on new merchant acquisition through cold calling and on‑site visits.
Key Responsibilities
Cold Calling & Prospecting: Proactively identify, call, and visit local restaurants/businesses in the NYC area to build a pipeline.
Decision Maker Focus: Successfully bypass gatekeepers to secure appointments with business owners and decision‑makers.
POS Pitch & Demo: Deliver professional, tailored demonstrations of our POS system, emphasizing technology benefits (Backoffice reporting, P‑Mix, labor management) and payment processing.
Closing: Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing.
Relationship Building: Relate personal restaurant experience to prospects to build trust and demonstrate industry knowledge.
Requirements
Location: Must reside in the NYC area.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of outside sales experience.
Industry Knowledge: Minimum 1 year of experience working in the restaurant industry (FOH or BOH).
Technical Aptitude: Understanding of Front & Back of House operations and Backoffice reporting (Financials, Labor, Food/Bev, P‑Mix).
Skills: Strong communication, professional telephone etiquette, and a 'hunter' mindset.
Mindset: Highly motivated, career‑oriented, team player with a growth mindset.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $4,000/month.
Commission: Large upfront commissions and bonus structure.
High Payout: Up to $3,000 commission per merchant location, 10‑month payout term, and $1,500 upfront payment based on profitability.
Extras: Profit sharing, travel reimbursement, flexible 40‑hour work week.
