We are seeking a customer-focused Golf Course Attendant to support pro shop operations. Responsibilities include managing tee times, processing transactions, assisting guests, preparing and serving food and drinks, and maintaining clean, organized facilities. This role also supports tournaments and events as needed. Ideal candidates are reliable, adaptable, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This position reports to a designated supervisor and works under general supervision. It is distinguished from higher‑level classifications by its lack of administrative responsibility and from lower classes by responsibility for cash handling and inventory controls, as well as the ability to perform routine tasks with less supervision. Pay for the position is $16.43/hr.

Pro Shop Operations

Greets customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Schedules tee times in person and by phone using golf course management software.

Checks in golfers and processes payments for greens fees, merchandise, and other services.

Operates point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and handles cash, credit card, and other transactions accurately.

Assists with merchandise sales and maintains organized retail displays.

Answers phones and responds to customer inquiries regarding course rules, rates, and events.

Food and Beverage Service

Prepares and serves food and beverages in accordance with established procedures.

Operates bar area, including serving alcoholic beverages in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, bar, lobby, and service areas.

Stocks and replenishes food, beverages, and supplies as needed.

Monitors inventory levels and reports shortages to the supervisor.

Event & Tournament Support

Assists with setup and breakdown for tournaments, leagues, and special events.

Registers participants and distributes tournament materials.

Provides customer service and operational support during events.

May assist outdoors with event coordination, scoring, staging, or hospitality stations.

General Responsibilities

Provides exceptional customer service at all times.

Maintains the cleanliness of the pro shop, kitchen, bar, lobby, and common areas.

Follows all safety, sanitation, and cash‑handling procedures.

Works collaboratively with other staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Non‑essential Job Functions

Attends work on a continuous and regular basis.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education and Experience

Must be 18 years old or older at the time of appointment. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous customer service, retail, or food service experience preferred. Experience handling cash and operating point‑of‑sale systems preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid Florida Driver's License required at time of hire.

Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Food Handler Certification upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Basic knowledge of golf operations is helpful but not required.

Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical and Environmental Requirements Duties involve standing for extended periods, light to moderate lifting, and working in a busy customer service environment. Primarily works indoors in a pro shop and food service setting, but may require outdoor work during tournaments and special events.
