Job Summary The Sales Assistant is responsible for supporting the Sales Executives, External buying teams, and EVP of Sales. This position works to maintain an understanding of the total business for our Scotch and Soda, Ted Baker and Hurley Main to maintain nurtured relationships between the wholesale and retail sides in a junior role. The Sales Assistant position is expected to maintain a positive, collaborative demeanor when working with the internal teams and to present the utmost professionalism when interacting with the retail buyers. The reporting structure is directly into the Account Executive with a report to EVP of Sales.
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to)
Attend Buyer Meetings
Assist sales execs with meeting prep
Run needed inventories
Prepare showroom with sample representation
Run LDPs for in‑season deals in prep for Sales Exec to present to buying teams
Manage account summaries on a weekly basis (Program Summary)
Sample Management
Work with sales exec to advise production on all needed samples
Gather samples, label them and send to the buying teams in a timely manner
Keep a catalog of all physical samples sent & when w/ tracking info
Report tracking information to the buying teamsAssist exec in tracking all submissions for approval
Imagery / Customer Portals
Provide & organize all imagery to the retailer & internally (Design & Pencil One)
Customer item set up sheet templates. (Dimensions, Product attributes, UPCs etc.)
Ensure all proper setup information is provided so that they have success in writing orders
Attend internal meetings with other departments
Attend meetings with production and merchandising to ensure product and presentation is up to the buyer’s standards from the initial stages
Meet regularly with CSRs to maintain success on all assigned accounts
Comp shop with sales execs to understand retail side of the business
Regularly visit retail customer’s stores and ensure our product looks the way we want it represented
Keep an eye out for new product ideas that can be good business endeavors for United Legwear
Appointment Management for EVP of Sales
Assist EVP of managing day‑to‑day meetings
Act as liaison between EVP & Internal team members when booking any and all appointments.
Ensure meals are planned ahead of time if necessary
Assist EVP in miscellaneous tasks such as
Catalog/Document organization
Sample requests
E‑Business Card Setups
Perform any other duties as assigned in support of the company’s needs and operations.
Showroom Management
Manage daily showroom operations, including organizing product displays, ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of the space, and preparing the showroom for client visits.
Coordinate appointments and meetings with buyers, vendors, and internal teams, providing necessary product information, samples, and sales collateral to support the sales process.
Monitor inventory levels and showroom samples, maintaining accurate records of stock, and coordinate the movement of products between the showroom and other departments.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and 1‑2 years job related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, database systems, email and internet.
Possess and continually display a professional business demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
Excellent verbal and written skills as required for effective interpersonal communication with clients and other employees.
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and workloads seamlessly and follow‑up.
Must be able to work independently and collaboratively under critical time frames and work on multiple assignments and complex and sensitive information and prioritize.
Ability to be extremely flexible and adaptable in completing a diverse range of assignments in a timely manner.
Experience working in a fast‑paced environment and ability to apply good work habits to effectively complete assigned tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of the company/department.
Must be fluent in French, English or Spanish.
