Title: Seasonal Part Time Crew Mate (Seasonal Part Time Sales Associate) Department: Retail Reports To: Captain (Store Manager), First Mate (Assistant Manager), Second Mate (Management Trainee)
Overview Responsible for assisting the management team (Captain, First Mates, and Second Mates) in driving sales through exceptional customer service. Ensures the customer experience, supports our brand promise (“Every Day Should Feel This Good”) and makes service a top priority.
Responsibilities
Generate sales and meet sales goals/measures
Develop and maintain relationships with top customers
Support in-store event sourcing and execution
Ensure the store reflects Shep & Ian’s vision of “Every Day Should Feel This Good” to our customers through “Hosting the Party”
Lead the store in email capture and educate new associates on best practices
Maintain current customer wish lists and notify customers when product arrives
Assist with training new associates
Help foster a welcoming, fun, encouraging and energetic crew and customer environment
Help recruit and refer top talent for the store’s teams
Support store and team-building activities with the management team
Maintain efficient merchandise controls and loss prevention awareness
Help maintain a clean and tidy store environment
Maintain merchandising as per company standards, current compass (floorset), and brand initiatives
Contribute to weekly product feedback
Requirements
Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills

Strong verbal and written skills
Ability to perform effective selling techniques to achieve sale and repeat business
Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays, overnights, weekends

Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to effectively receive and communicate feedback
Positive outlook

Salary range: $16.60–$18.17 per hour
