Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on
Editorial Director
for three B2B media brands serving a variety of industries. The successful candidate will oversee the editorial direction and content strategy across a diverse portfolio, including print publications, live events and digital platforms. This role requires a blend of high-level planning and day-to-day execution to deliver high-quality content to senior-level executives.
Core Responsibilities
Print & Digital Publication Management Editorial Strategy:
Develop and execute annual editorial calendars as needed. Production Oversight:
Manage the end-to-end planning of four print issues per year. Content Coordination:
Schedule and assign articles by managing a mix of freelance writers and industry contributors. Editorial Execution:
Manage the traffic of all content through the production cycle, including rigorous editing and proofreading.
Digital Strategy & Website Management Daily Content Operations:
Lead daily content creation for the brand website and newsletters, balancing original reporting with solicited industry contributions. CMS Management:
Utilize WordPress to publish daily industry news and long-form features. SEO Leadership:
Apply advanced SEO copywriting and optimization skills to improve search engine rankings (SERPs) and drive organic traffic.
Live Events & Multimedia Conferences:
Direct all programming for two annual conferences, including speaker recruitment, session selection, and management of the brands’ Advisory Boards. Webinars:
Represent the brands as a moderator for educational webinars, providing editorial insight during planning and leading live Q&A sessions. Podcasts:
Produce and host podcasts featuring industry experts, overseeing everything from topic development to conducting interviews.
Technical Skills & Qualifications Software Proficiency:
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, InDesign, and WordPress. SEO Expertise:
Proven experience in SEO content writing, keyword research, and SERP analysis.
Work Environment & Travel Hybrid Work:
This position offers the flexibility of being a hybrid role. Travel:
Occasional travel is required for annual conferences, industry trade shows and client visits.
