Roof Technology Partners is seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead and scale our Houston branch. This role is ideal for a disciplined, results-driven operator who thrives in a high-growth environment and is passionate about building high-performing teams and delivering operational excellence.
You will lead all field operations, overseeing project execution, team performance, and cost control while ensuring safety, quality, and customer expectations are consistently met. This role carries full accountability for operational performance, including gross margin, productivity, and execution across all projects.

Your Role
Lead all field operations across the Houston branch, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards
Own operational execution from pre-construction planning through project completion
Partner closely with the President to align operational capacity with revenue goals and backlog
Build and scale the operational infrastructure needed to support branch growth
Establish and enforce systems for scheduling, productivity, and cost control
Drive accountability across project managers, superintendents, and field teams
Collaborate with sales and estimating teams to ensure smooth project handoffs and execution
Serve as a key leader in shaping the culture, performance expectations, and long-term success of the Houston branch
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
Direct all day-to-day field operations across projects and crews
Ensure consistent execution of company standards for quality, safety, and efficiency
Implement scalable processes and KPIs to support growth
Financial Performance
Own gross margin performance at the branch level
Manage and optimize direct costs including labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment
Drive operational discipline to improve profitability and reduce waste
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing operations teams
Coach project managers, superintendents, and field leaders
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Safety & Compliance
Champion a safety-first culture across all projects
Ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
Drive performance toward best‑in‑class safety metrics
Customer & Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business
Partner cross-functionally to support overall branch success
What You Bring
10+ years of experience in commercial roofing, with at least 5 years in an operational leadership role
Strong expertise in commercial roofing systems including TPO, modified bitumen, coatings, and related systems
Proven track record managing multi‑million‑dollar projects with full cost and margin accountability
Deep understanding of operational drivers including scheduling, labor productivity, and cost control
Experience building and leading teams in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication and leadership presence with the ability to influence at all levels
Established relationships in the Houston market preferred
Safety-focused mindset with a commitment to quality and execution
