
Director, Engineering - Plant Operations & Maintenance, Norton Women's & Childre

Responsibilities
The Director, Engineering will organize, manage, and direct the daily operations of our healthcare campuses including work requests and projects within the facilities. In addition, the Director, Engineering will provide customer coordination, project estimation, and scheduling work to accomplish completion by both in‑house and contractor personnel, all in a safe, cost‑effective, and customer‑friendly manner. Reporting of work order completion, PMs and project status is required.
Drives company vehicles on or around Norton Healthcare's campus or other facilities as assigned and needed.
Provides direction, guidance, and overall management to ensure operational integrity, financial viability, physical safety, and institutional compliance of all Norton Healthcare facilities. Utilizes a variety of analytical techniques to solve problems and report progress.
Maintains a participative, teamwork‑oriented environment including recognition programs to acknowledge abilities, development, and achievement of the entire staff, training programs to ensure a culture of learning and growth, and communication to insure a continuous two‑way flow of information.
Develops and monitors expense accounts, maintenance records, and capital replacement plans to ensure the operational integrity of Norton Healthcare Facilities.
Develops, monitors, and tracks the effectiveness of Customer Service to patients, visitors, and fellow employees. Establishes and maintains communication with all levels of Administration and employees.
This role requires driving Norton Healthcare vehicles, which could include transporting patients and visitors. You must have a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Qualifications Required:
Three years of leadership in facility management (with required degree).
Seven years of leadership in facility management (without required degree).
Bachelor's Degree.
Driver's License.
Desired:
Bachelor's Degree.
Certified Healthcare Facility Manager.
