
Director of Information Technology

We are recruiting for a
Director of IT
with a well-established, industry-leading CPG organization with over 40 years of experience. This role will lead and evolve the IT function across a multi-site manufacturing environment, with a focus on operational efficiency, system optimization, and long-term scalability.
What You’ll Do IT Strategy & Business Alignment
Build and execute a 12-month IT roadmap aligned to operational priorities and business outcomes
Identify inefficiencies across workflows and implement technology-driven improvements
Partner with leadership to evaluate and prioritize IT investments based on ROI and impact
Present clear recommendations to leadership tied to cost, efficiency, and risk
Systems & Applications
Own and optimize ERP (JDE) environment, improving utilization, reporting, and data integrity
Lead ongoing development of Microsoft 365 and Azure environment (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID)
Support and improve EDI integrations with major retail partners, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and scalability
Identify opportunities for automation across reporting, data entry, and inter-system workflows
Infrastructure & Security
Oversee infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments (Windows Server, VMware, network)
Manage security across endpoints, identity, and network (CrowdStrike, MFA, access controls)
Own backup and disaster recovery strategy and execution
Evaluate and implement modern security solutions as needed
Leadership & Execution
Lead and develop a lean internal IT team
Manage external vendors and service providers
Own IT budget, vendor spend, and cost optimization initiatives
Establish IT policies, standards, and governance
What You Bring
Experience leading IT in a manufacturing, distribution, or CPG environment
Strong ERP experience, ideally JD Edwards (JDE) or similar systems
Hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft 365, infrastructure, and cloud environments
Experience supporting EDI integrations with major retail partners in a CPG or distribution environment
Experience driving process improvement, automation, and system optimization
Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate in terms of ROI and operational impact
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
