Job Summary – Activities Director We're seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Activities Director to lead daily planned activities for our residents. If you're someone who values creativity, enjoys music and the arts, and can organize engaging activities, we want to hear from you. In this role, you'll receive support from our Activity assistant.
Responsibilities
Implement the activities program.
Creating a recurring and exciting activities schedule.
Leading one‑on‑one activities for bed‑bound residents.
Assisting residents with distributing and engaging in craft activities.
Completing necessary forms, reports, and progress notes accurately.
Identifying and addressing residents' spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs through routine interactions.
Requirements
One of the following certifications is required: State‑approved Activities Director, completed the 36‑hour training course or Certified Recreation Therapist or a Degree in exercise physiology.
A warm and caring personality.
Strong teamwork skills.
Experience working with the elderly population.
