
Principal ProServe Cloud Architect

Overview
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). PCA’s work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, designing and implementing tailored cloud solutions. You'll be a key player in the sales process, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the customer's cloud journey.
Responsibilities
Designing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions, estimates, and proposals to deliver customer business outcomes (CBOs)
Providing technical guidance and best practices during the sales and implementation phases
Collaborating with Account Executives and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and achievable
Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects
Basic Qualifications: Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
Basic Qualifications: Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies
Preferred Qualifications: Degree in advanced technology, or AWS Professional level certification
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
Preferred Qualifications: Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing executive customer relationships and key business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (like TOGAF, Zachman) and identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications and global infrastructure assets
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
