The right Amusement Sales Associate will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.
This position exists to provide support to the Games and Amusements team through the sale of gameplay packages, operational assistance to the Sales Lead, and use of a point-of-sale register. This support is to be provided in a manner consistent with the mission, values, and policies of the Dollywood Company.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary Of Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Assists the Sales lead in the daily operation of Games and Amusements by picking up and maintaining necessary sales funds, tickets, forms, and keys
Completes assigned opening and closing procedures and ensure the operational readiness of any assigned areas
Describes different sales packages to guests and demonstrate proficient selling skills
Operates a point of sale register including sales, refunds, transfers, and reporting
Actively participates in the success of the Games and Amusements team through teamwork, service, and respect for others
Assists in regular inventories and cycle counts for various tickets and merchandise
Supports the management of stock levels and merchandising of any assigned locations
Assists in the maintenance and daily operation of any assigned location by ensuring cleanliness and display preparation functions are up to company standards
Demonstrates an ability to maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules
Assists the immediate leadership by communicating any needed product, equipment, supplies, and helping to reduce waste
Adheres to all Amusements safety guidelines and report any safety issues to the immediate leadership
Protects the privacy, safety, and security of our guests and coworkers by completing PCI compliance and other required training
Must be willing to have fun and create a fun and friendly environment for others
Education And Experience Required
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
Minimum 6 months of sales experience is required
Minimum 6 months of customer service experience is required
Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a team environment, highly preferred
Basic computer skills

Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities
Able to operate/drive a company vehicle with valid driver’s license
Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracy
Able to lift up to 50lbs, with assistance
Able to communicate effectively with Guests and Hosts using approved communication methods
Able to tolerate temperatures of 0 to 140 degrees
Able to work outdoors
Physical And Cognitive Requirements
Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. utilizing company’s safety guidelines for safe lifting
Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfaces
Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat. Employees may be required to work indoors and outdoors
Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved methods
