Sales Representative – Specialty Rigging
Reports To: Branch Manager

About the Role As a Sales Representative, you will manage and grow a designated territory, maintaining relationships with existing clients while aggressively pursuing new business opportunities. You will represent Southway Crane & Rigging and our family of companies, delivering exceptional commercial construction crane and rigging solutions. Your efforts will help build long-term client partnerships and drive a $2+ million annual revenue target.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute sales strategies within your territory to meet or exceed sales goals.
Manage client accounts with a focus on long‑term growth and repeat business.
Identify the appropriate crane and rigging solutions, prepare accurate quotes, and coordinate with our dispatch team.
Communicate safety requirements and best practices clearly to clients and team members.
Maintain accurate administrative reports and documentation.
Work independently while prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
Travel overnight when needed to meet clients or project requirements.
Who We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED required; college or technical degree preferred.
3–7 years of commercial construction sales experience preferred.
Hands‑on experience with crane operations and rigging techniques is highly desirable.
Proven track record in sales, marketing strategies, and trend analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment and handle rejection professionally.
Must hold a clean driving record and any necessary licenses for site visits.
Working Conditions
Non‑smoking environment at times; may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
Irregular hours and standby duties may be required.
May encounter mechanical, electrical, chemical, or environmental hazards. PPE use required where applicable.
Occasional overnight travel for client or project needs.
