General Description As a Commercial Truck Sales Representative, you will help current and new customers in an assigned territory find the right vehicle to fit their Mack purchasing, rental and/or leasing needs. Through training, you will develop extensive industry and product knowledge. With access to state-of-the-art software, you will monitor and report on market intelligence which impacts business and pricing. Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited To
Frequent local travel to customer sites to build meaningful, long-lasting relationships as a trusted advisor
Actively seek and develop new accounts and represent the company to potential customers
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services provided
Evaluate customer needs and make recommendations utilizing a value selling approach
Meet sales goals set by management
Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements pertaining to this position.
Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting
Basic Requirements
Successful sales and/or business to business experience
Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL
Must be at least 18 years of age
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with heavy duty truck sales
High School Diploma or GED
Associate or Bachelor degree in related field
Candidate Criteria
Strong oral and written communication ability.
Commitment to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions.
