Your Mission Your mission in this role is to support the Regional Account Managers in executing on the key performance indicators of our retail strategy.
Responsibilities for Field Sales Development Representative
Maintain a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods
Anticipate needs by studying services and conducting market research to identify new opportunities
Supporting applicable Regional Account Manager(s) on outbound strategies and lead generating efforts
Attend product training conferences and develop an understanding of our communication infrastructure
Monitor and attend meetings with prospects while handling the introductions and follow-up with the sales representatives
Be the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward
Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings
Collaborate with sales teams by bringing innovative lead generation ideas to each weekly meeting
Work within the parameters of Company policies and procedures
Lead follow-ups with customers and document/record wins
Qualifications For Field Sales Development Representative
Must be available for frequent travel, across Midwestern USA including: MO (targeting Greater Kansas City area); KS (Wichita, other larger cities).
Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Ideal candidate will have a valid credit card for travel expenses
Must be available to spend up to ~10 overnight stays per month. Expectation of traveling 3-4 days per week. Some day travel; some overnight. Depending on location(s) visiting on each trip.
Flawless communication skills, both written and oral, with extensive public speaking experience
Experience working with building materials is an asset, not a requirement
Demonstrated ability to work solo as well as being a productive team member, making outbound calls every day
Has experience using Salesforce or other CRM software
Must be an excellent problem-solver and willing to collaborate in an exceedingly competitive environment
Thorough understanding of commercial awareness and brand recognition to successfully establish rapport with prospects
Junior to mid-level related experience
Education
Relative building material industry work experience is an asset, but not required
College Diploma at minimum is preferred
