
Director of Finance

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Finance to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $140,000 to $150,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee core financial system activities, including general ledger management and integration with purchasing and payables functions.
Guide improvements to purchasing workflows and support automation efforts that enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Establish and maintain data standards for key financial and operational records and ensure proper review and approval processes.
Manage intercompany activity by monitoring matching rules, reviewing variances, and supporting faster close routines.
Coordinate financial close readiness each quarter and support reporting needs, audit reviews, and consolidation requirements.
Requirements
Ability to work closely with finance and operational teams to ensure proper accounting for royalty activity, shared services, and cross-entity transactions.
Strong understanding of internal controls, user access standards, and compliance requirements.
Previous experience supporting system changes, including gathering requirements, testing, training, and post-launch stability.
Skill in evaluating and improving processes through data analysis and performance tracking.
Capacity to manage bank related responsibilities and ensure payment workflows align with system controls.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or information systems, with advanced credentials.
5+ years of experience in a related financial systems or accounting leadership role.
Strong knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools and the ability to support system design and enhancements.
Solid understanding of accounting standards and advanced proficiency in spreadsheet tools.
Previous experience working across global teams with a record of implementing process and system improvements.
