Director of Engineering – Battery Pack Systems
We are building advanced battery pack solutions to power the next generation of electrified systems across mobility, energy storage, and industrial applications. Our team combines deep technical expertise with hands‑on manufacturing capability to deliver high‑performance, scalable, and production‑ready battery systems.
The Role Lead the engineering vision, strategy, and execution for battery pack and module development. You will build and guide a multidisciplinary engineering organization responsible for architecture, design, validation, and production launch. This is a high‑impact leadership role requiring both strong technical depth in battery systems and the ability to scale teams, processes, and products in a fast‑moving environment.
What You’ll Do
Define and execute the technical roadmap for battery pack and module development
Build, mentor, and scale a high‑performing engineering team across mechanical, electrical, systems, and validation disciplines
Oversee full product lifecycle development from concept and architecture through validation and manufacturing launch
Establish engineering processes, design standards, and best practices to enable scalable product development
Drive cross‑functional collaboration with program management, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams
Lead system architecture decisions, trade studies, and technical risk mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory standards (UL, ISO, SAE, IEC, etc.)
Support customer engagements, technical reviews, and design presentations
Oversee documentation, BOM control, design releases, and change management processes
Champion innovation in battery architecture, materials, safety systems, and manufacturability
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (advanced degree preferred)
10+ years of engineering experience, including significant experience in battery systems or complex electro‑mechanical product development
5+ years of engineering leadership experience managing and growing technical teams
Demonstrated success delivering products from concept through production
Deep understanding of battery pack architecture, safety systems, thermal management, and system integration
Experience working within regulated environments and meeting compliance requirements
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence executive leadership and external partners
