Summer Intern - Sales (Wholesale/Retail) needed for Farmstead 1868 in Cazenovia, NY.
Duration: Summer 2026 (Flexible Start & End Dates)
Pay rate is $16.50 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
Sales (Wholesale & Retail)
Develop engaging strategies to drive product sales, showcase farm life, and highlight customer experiences via social media and email campaigns.
Plan and execute live sales, product demonstrations, and behind-the-scenes content to increase online orders.
Collaborate on marketing campaigns to promote Lavender Festival, Agritourism, and farm products.
Track customer engagement and provide insights to improve sales conversions.
In-Person Retail & Guest Experience (Farm Store & U-Pick Operations)
Assist customers with on-site purchases, including Farmstead 1868 products
Ensure a warm, welcoming guest experience during U-Pick lavender operations educating visitors about lavender varieties, farm history, and product uses.
Handle cash and digital payments, restock inventory, and maintain retail displays.
Field Maintenance & Farm Operations
Support lavender field maintenance (pruning, weeding, watering, harvesting).
Assist in U-Pick setup and cleanup, ensuring a smooth experience for guests.
Help with general farm tasks as needed to keep operations running efficiently.
Trade Show, Markets & Events
Promote Farmstead 1868 through occasional off-site travel for pop-ups, local events, and wholesale expos. Assist with booth setup, customer engagement, and sales.
Provide samples and educational insights to encourage purchases.
Gather contact information from leads and help with follow‑up.
Who You Are
Enthusiastic about social media marketing, small business, and farm-based retail.
Comfortable creating videos and appearing on camera for TikTok & Instagram.
Customer‑service oriented with great people skills for engaging guests at the farm.
Excited to work outdoors, get hands‑on with farm tasks, and contribute to a dynamic team.
