Overview
JOB SUMMARY: The Retail Sales Associate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Thread of Life Thrift Store, ensuring excellent customer service and an optimal shopping experience.
Responsibilities
Receive and sort all donations
Coordinate and direct volunteers in conjunction with the Development & Communications team
Maintain product inventories, including pricing of items and merchandising displays
Operate Point of Sale (POS) system and process all transactions accurately
Operate store social media page
Conduct research and post items to e-commerce pages
Process daily cash deposits
Maintain cleanliness of the store (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.)
Abide by all Mission, program and safety policies, procedures and guidelines
Attend and participate in regular meetings and trainings as requested by supervisor
Complete annual mandated trainings
All other duties as requested by supervisor
Qualifications / Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years experience working in a retail setting preferred
Proficient skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Enthusiastic support of our Mission Statement
Valid NYS Drivers License required
Compensation & Benefits Status/Hours: Part Time 24 hours per week - Thursday-Saturday 8:30am-4:30pm
Pay Rate: $17.50-$18.00 hourly
