
Sales Representative

Position Summary
This position supports the work of the YMCA of the Rockies, which operates a mission-based family and group conference and retreat center, serving more than 225 thousand annually. The Sales Representative is responsible for generating significant and measurable revenues from group, individual, and conference business at Estes Park Center and Snow Mountain Ranch using YMCA of the Rockies’ established sales systems and practices.

Essential Functions
Grow group, individual, and conference business by responding promptly to inbound leads via phone, email, walk‑ins, or other lead management systems.
Research, contact, and secure new group business, including day groups.
Make lodging reservations for individuals, families, and members/attendees of conference groups and family reunions, by telephone, in person, and through the mail for EPC and SMR.
Monitor and modify reservations to avoid mid‑stay room moves (transfers), to accommodate guest requests, and to maximize cabin and lodge room revenue.
Maintain in‑depth knowledge of services and facilities at Estes Park Center and Snow Mountain Ranch, conducting site tours as needed to attract new business.
Negotiate group contracts, including rates and services, within the Association’s sales guidelines to close business deals.
Develop and execute quarterly sales action plans, ensuring proactive follow‑up on prospective and quoted business.
Exhibit strong interpersonal skills when communicating with internal and external customers via phone, email, and in person.
Proficiently use desktop computer applications, including Agilysys, HubSpot, Microsoft Office, and Excel to manage workload and correspondence.
Logs all calls/emails/meetings in HubSpot; maintains accurate deal stages, next steps, and follow‑up tasks.
When inbound volume is low, shifts to outbound prospecting, pipeline cleanup, follow‑up, and partnership outreach without direction.
Accurately and efficiently enter data into the booking system.
Travel as needed to meet with potential customers and secure group business, including occasional overnight trips.
Maintain a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Successfully manage multiple deadlines and priorities while keeping detailed records of correspondence and actions.
Prepare and present formal proposals to clients.
Actively participate in sales meetings and contribute to achieving team goals.
Demonstrate excellent communication, telephone etiquette, and multitasking skills.
Possess strong mathematical aptitude for pricing, contracts, and financial analysis.
Assist the Contract writer by writing minor contracts as needed.
Process deposit checks.
Hold a valid U.S. state‑issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and comply with YMCA driving policies to operate YMCA vehicles.
Support and promote the Association’s safety program, ensuring a safe environment for guests, members, and staff.

Foster a cooperative, positive, and solution‑oriented work environment.
Work effectively with diverse teams and communities.
Requirements & Qualifications
Hold a college degree or possess a minimum of 4 years of customer service/sales experience.
Thrive in a fast‑paced, multitasking sales environment while meeting revenue goals and is self‑motivated.
Perform other duties as assigned.
