Energy Salesperson Job Purpose:

DELIVER ON THE MISSION OF WILCO BY PROFITABLY PROVIDING SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Job Summary:

To promote Energy sales and increase profits by actively contacting prospective and existing customers and professionally promoting our product and services.

Reports to: Director of Energy

Key Responsibilities

Grow the business in a manner that is consistent with our core values.

Evaluate the needs of customers in our service area, potentially leading to expanding our product line.

Help develop the existing customer base through product knowledge.

Develop new sales leads by prospecting and pursuing targeted new business through calling or on-site visits, attending trade shows, initiating mailings, and other related activities.

Develop and leverage relationships with businesses and industry entities such as agriculture, real estate companies, home builder associations, and other trade organizations to cultivate new business prospects.

Build trust with new and existing customers by identifying needs, providing advice, and offering effective solutions to their needs.

Receive, follow up, and resolve or ensure resolution of customer complaints/queries in a timely and efficient manner.

Required to build and maintain strong customer relationships with frequent communication to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Actively participate in industry organizations to continually build a professional network.

Attend training sessions to keep up to date with the latest products and technology.

Keep current with customers’ environmental needs regarding the various energy products.

Track and sometimes deliver lube products as required.

Assist the team with problem‑solving when the need arises.

Special Skills / Training

Ability to interact effectively and professionally with customers and co‑workers.

Ability to understand and use effective sales skills.

Knowledge of computer systems and associated software.

Ability to research and inform customers of technical aspects of petroleum and related energy products.

Working knowledge of refined fuel, lubricants, and propane.

Energy sales experience preferred.

Location

Seeking a candidate based within 25 miles of Albany, Corvallis, or Eugene.

A company vehicle will be provided for the travel required for this position.

Routes stretch from Salem to Eugene (maybe further)
