The Service Porter plays a key role in supporting the Service Department by ensuring vehicles are properly prepared, moved, and maintained throughout the service process. This position helps create an efficient workflow and delivers a positive customer experience by keeping vehicles clean, fueled, organized, and ready for service or delivery.
Job Responsibilities
Move vehicles to and from the service drive, technician bays, parking areas, and wash stations
Greet customers in the service drive and provide basic assistance as needed
Maintain vehicles in clean, presentable, and service-ready condition
Wash, vacuum, and detail vehicles as required
Fuel vehicles prior to delivery or return to customers
Transport vehicles to customers, vendors, or off‑site locations when necessary
Assist with inventory organization and monthly physical inventory counts
Keep the service lot and surrounding areas orderly and safe
Support service advisors and technicians with vehicle movement and staging
Attend department meetings and follow all company safety policies
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous automotive, dealership, or customer service experience a plus
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
