Project Overview You will be joining the Bechtel Knoxville Execution Center. The Knoxville Execution Center provides engineering to our government projects as well as our commercial nuclear projects. Our services span from initial planning and investment, through start-up and operations.
Job Summary Work includes the 3D modeling and preparation of drawings/documents for General Arrangements, Equipment Locations and piping isometrics drawings. This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership.
Major Responsibilities
Assist with coordination of 3D model activities, interference reconciliation, and design coordination with other physical related disciplines.
Accept technical and administrative direction from the lead/group supervisor during the preparation of above ground and underground piping designs.
Interface with pipe support & stress personnel, construction, and suppliers during the preparation of piping designs for the purpose of model/space control.
Perform coordination review of specifications and other documents prepared by others.
Perform design/engineering tasks within a discipline, having a minor degree of complexity.
Education and Experience Requirements AA/AS or Certificate in Engineering/CAD with 3-4 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
Hands‑on use or classes using a 2D software package such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
Hands‑on experience using a 3D piping design platform and isometric extraction (S3D preferred).
Knowledge of ASME B31.1 and/or B31.3 piping codes.
