Join Our Team as a Kitchen Steward We are seeking an organised and motivated Kitchen Steward to join our dynamic team in the Kitchen Department. Working under the guidance of the Executive Chef, you'll ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitised, maintaining them in ready-for-use condition. Your responsibilities include operating a commercial size dishwasher, handling food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. You will also need to adhere to the Food Safety Program and manage shift operations when required.

This is a permanent part time position living on the island in our staff village. Very affordable, all-inclusive living expenses package with 3 meals a day. If you are looking for a change, we would love to hear from you.

Key Duties

Wash dishes, utensils, pots and pans

Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, benches, floors and storage areas

Dispose of waste correctly and manage recycling

Maintain cleanliness in accordance with food and safety and WHS standards

Assist in food preparation and storage

Use chemicals safely and effectively

About You

Completion of a Food Safety Course (Desirable)

Valid Drovers licence (Desirable)

Experience in a commercial kitchen setting

Strong organisational and communication skills

Ability to work independently and in a team

Commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
