Position Summary Additional perks & benefits for year round employees
This position is responsible for providing services at the starter's booth. This includes but is not limited to tee time coordination, responding to guest inquiries, tournament operations, rules and policies, pace of play, and accurate daily play totals. This is a part‑time summer seasonal role. The pay rate for this position is $20.00/hr.
Essential Duties
Assure the orderly flow of play in accordance with the posted tee times. Rotate players as needed to ensure flow of play
Assist members without games in finding appropriate games
Keep a record of all rounds played, including cart usage
Make sure all guests have appropriate receipts documenting fees played
Post the condition of play for the day and cart rules
Answer questions in a friendly manner and help members with day of play
Maintain an adequate supply of scorecards, pencils, tees, ball markers, tee time cards, guest tag at the starter's booth, and the first tees
Make sure groups get to first tee on time
Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements
High School Diploma required
Previous employment with a golf course as an Attendant, Ranger, or Starter, minimum of one season
Knowledge of golf operations and rules of play
Excellent customer service skills
Passionate about game of golf
Strong communication and time management skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS This position may be required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
