Bike Workshop Technician (Recreation Leader) Responsibilities:

Fix, maintain, and sell bikes.

Set up and take down the bike workshop.

Perform basic repairs on various bikes.

Maintain inventory and accounting records of bikes and parts.

Provide customer service and effective communication.

Assist the CRS Project Specialist with cash handling duties and special events.

Qualifications:

Age 17½ years or older.

Valid California Driver’s License desirable.

CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 1 month of employment (training provided).

Shift schedule varies; availability during day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts required.

Building Attendant (Recreation Aide) Responsibilities:

Oversee community recreational facilities before, during, and after activities and enrichment classes.

Engage with the public and provide customer service.

Conduct opening and closing procedures of the building.

Qualifications:

Age 15 years or older.

California Driver’s License desirable but not required.

Work permit if applicable.

CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 1 month of employment (training provided).

Building Attendant (Recreation Leader) Responsibilities:

Coordinate schedules and events with other staff.

Communicate with parents and camp leadership about camper progress or concerns.

Qualifications:

Age 17½ years or older.

Valid California Driver’s License desirable.

CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 1 month of employment (training provided).

Gym Attendant or Scorekeeper (Recreation Aide) Responsibilities:

Greet and assist members and visitors at the Mark Green Sports Center.

Set up, take down, and clean up fitness classes.

Issue and collect equipment.

Provide basic operational instruction of fitness equipment.

Monitor safety and complete daily cleaning and sanitizing duties.

Facility Rental Reception Aide (Recreation Aide) Responsibilities:

Set up and clean rooms and community recreational facilities before, during, and after activities and fee classes.

Engage and communicate with the public and facility rental patrons.

Oversee events to ensure the safety of attendees, equipment, and building.

Qualifications:

Age 15 years or older.

California Driver’s License desirable but not required.

Work permit if applicable.

CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 1 month of employment (training provided).

Fitness Attendant (Recreation Leader) Responsibilities:

Greet and assist members and visitors at the Mark Green Sports Center.

Provide basic operational instruction of fitness equipment.

Monitor safety, maintain accurate records, and perform daily cleaning and sanitizing duties.

Summer Camp & Sports Camp Aide (Recreation Aide) Responsibilities:

Communicate with parents and camp leadership about camper progress or concerns.

Teen Leader (Recreation Leader) Responsibilities:

Create and foster an inclusive environment for teens ages 12‑16.

Plan and implement daily games, sports, arts‑and‑crafts, and teen‑appropriate activities.

Chaperone participants on field trips and swimming.

Support personal development and provide valuable skills.

Therapeutic Recreation (Special Needs) Leader (Recreation Leader) Responsibilities:

Work with participants ages 5‑16 with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.

Facilitate physical and social activities in a safe and inclusive environment.

Provide opportunities for engagement and growth.

Communicate effectively in group and one‑to‑one settings.

Shift schedule varies; availability during day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts required.

Safe Parking Attendant (Senior Recreation Leader) Responsibilities:

Maintain and enforce city policies for the CAREavan Safe Overnight Parking program.

Conduct site inspections and enforce site policies.

Supervise participants and manage each CAREavan location facility.

Communicate clearly and assert policies in diverse situations.

Respond to participant concerns and work in all weather conditions.

Demonstrate reliable work ethic and personal integrity.

Qualifications:

Age 18 years or older.

Valid California Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record and own transportation.

First Aid/CPR certification desired.

Other Requirements:

Work 4–33 hours per week between 7:00 pm and 7:00 am.

Shift schedule varies; availability during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays required.

Ability to work in all weather conditions.
