Position Overview
In this role, students completing the Marketing & Development internship will become a part of Canopy’s Advancement Department and learn about all facets of how we advance our mission to serve our children and families.
This internship will provide experience in non-profit marketing, community engagement, and will assist with project management and summer events.
It is essential that applicants in this position have strong communication skills, demonstrate creativity, manage multiple tasks, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details.
Through this internship you will work with a dynamic team of staff and volunteers who are highly committed to the Canopy mission.
You will gain exposure to a variety of skill sets as you help to support marketing and branding efforts statewide, community engagement and conferences, and volunteer coordination.
Students must possess excellent oral and written presentation skills, maturity, self-motivation, and must be able to integrate into our vibrantly inclusive and passionate team.
This opportunity is paid and may not be used for academic credit.
Internship Program Requirements
All interns are required to attend a mandatory orientation and training session at the beginning of their internship.
Business professional attire
Minimum 100-hour commitment unless stated otherwise in contract.
Students must satisfactorily complete goals as outlined by their assigned site supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Current students enrolled in an undergraduate program in Marketing, IMC, Business Administration, Strategic Communications, or related field.
Must be enrolled, and in good academic standing, with an accredited academic institution at time of internship.
