
Communication and Marketing Administrator

The USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism’s Office of Communication and Marketing seeks to hire a Communication and Marketing Administrator to join its high‑performing team. Reporting to the Associate Director, Communication and Marketing Operations, the Communication and Marketing Administrator will oversee USC Annenberg’s marketing operations including administering the school’s marketing technology stack, website and paid media efforts.
Responsibilities
Administer the school’s marketing technology stack which includes web, CRM campaigns, email communication, form management and automation, ensuring all digital properties meet accessibility and security compliance requirements.
Administer day‑to‑day communication and marketing operations support, including submission of departmental purchase orders and credit card verifications.
Manage posting and updating content on the school’s primary website, annenberg.usc.edu.
Build and manage CRM campaigns targeting prospective students.
Build and manage email campaigns and newsletters to key audiences including prospective students, current students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
Administer reporting on departmental KPIs and other important metrics.
Participate in the development of communication and marketing goals, objectives, plans, and strategies.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing operations and/or website content administration, preferably in academia or nonprofit.
Minimum 3 years of experience building and maintaining CRM campaigns on platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.
Minimum 3 years experience utilizing SEO best practices.
Minimum 1 year experience working within a project management platform such as Asana, ClickUp, Motion, Jira, etc., preferably under an established project management methodology.
Intermediate proficiency in CMS (Drupal, WordPress, Squarespace), email platforms (Mailchimp, Salesforce, Constant Contact), Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Basic ability to write HTML and CSS.

Employment Details
This is a full‑time exempt hybrid position that reports 3 days in office and 2 days remote; hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with some flexibility.
Monthly salary range: $6,500 – $6,833.
