
Part-Time Fraternity and Sorority Student Assistant

The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life (OFSL) at The Pennsylvania State University currently recognizes approximately 70 fraternities and sororities across 4 distinct governing councils. With over 6,500 members, the fraternity and sorority community at Penn State makes up about 17% of the undergraduate student population. The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is comprised of a Director, two Associate Directors, a Senior Assistant Director, six Assistant Directors, three Administrative Support Assistants, and two Graduate Assistants.
Responsibilities
Support daily operations in the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life by answering phone calls, greeting visitors, scheduling room reservations, coordinating events and catering, and monitoring Standards of Excellence program form submissions.
Provide direct support for the preparation and logistics of in-person programming.
Assist in the technical development of education through online platforms.
Provide support for data input, including participation tracking, student responses, and program assessment.
Develop a marketing strategy for educational programming, including collecting images from events.
Assist in the development of educational programs and curriculum based on the strategic priorities of the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life.
Perform other duties as assigned, often based on assistant's interest areas and past experiences.
Terms of Employment
Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters
