
Account Executive

COSCO SHIPPING LINES (North America) Inc. is seeking an Account Executive to join its Global Sales Division (GSD). This position will be based in North/South Carolina (Charlotte preferred) and will report directly to the Regional Sales Director.
The Account Executive will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of import ocean and logistics accounts across the Carolinas. This role plays a critical part in driving regional growth, maintaining key client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and grow existing import accounts throughout North and South Carolina
Provide ongoing support and maintenance to assigned customer base
Aggressively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory
Develop and expand logistics and ocean freight opportunities
Negotiate contracts and rate adjustments in coordination with Trade teams
Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned accounts
Maintain accurate and timely reporting in CRM and internal systems
Conduct regular customer visits, including 8–10 in-person meetings per week, along with phone/email communications
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and issue resolution
Learn and utilize COSCO internal systems, processes, and procedures
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience in ocean carriers or NVOCCs
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Proven track record in transportation/logistics sales preferred
Must be based in the Carolinas (Charlotte preferred, flexible within region)
