We are currently seeking
Field Construction Laborers
for the upcoming busy summer season.
Worksites are located throughout Northern Michigan; not just in Charlevoix.
The Field Construction Laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor out on field projects and roadways by assisting the field crews and operating maintenance equipment. This is a key position assisting alongside the team doing road and underground utility work. The position is primarily Monday‑Friday, limited weekends and some overtime available. Job sites are located in the northern Michigan area so no overnight travel; you may drive directly to the assigned site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Shoveling, leveling, brooming, and raking
Running small power or hand tools
Equipment cleanup as needed
Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials
Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty environments
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures
Must have a valid driver’s license
