Position Summary
We are seeking a talented, sales‑oriented, Licensed Beauty Sales Consultant who is passionate about the beauty industry and believes the customer experience should be top‑notch.
Customer Sales Experience
Seek out customers to ensure they have a world‑class beauty advisor experience.
Provide personalized sales service based on customer needs, productive upselling and suggestive selling.
Use conversational skills to stimulate different thought processes and generate sales.
Be the brand expert by answering customer questions in detail with product knowledge to create the largest sales basket possible.
Engage all customers with CVS services, Beauty Club programs, invite customers to in‑store events and explain current promotions to close sales.
Performing Services
Represent both CVS and partner brands when interacting with customers and uphold the highest standards of service.
Provide ear‑piercing services in all stores and perform all other applicable services offered in any location where you work.
Successfully pass proficiency assessments before performing services in store.
Educate beauty customers by demonstrating proper product usage and highlighting product features and benefits to help drive purchase conversion.
Manage time effectively between consultations, scheduled services and walk‑in clients.
Display an active Cosmetology/Esthetician license during all working hours in all authorized locations.
Operational
Create and maintain product displays and promotional materials to support key brand, corporate and local advertising efforts.
Participate in and represent CVS at sales programs and events.
Maintain a clean zone by keeping the assigned area well stocked, well merchandised and compliant with hygiene standards.
Execute sanitation and hazardous waste disposal policies in a timely, compliant manner.
Complete ongoing sales, brand, and paid service training in a timely manner with CVS and service partners.
Maintain a professional colleague appearance in compliance with company policies and guidelines.
Stay current on the latest beauty trends and techniques and be a beauty enthusiast.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Current and valid Cosmetology/Esthetician license in the state where you work.
Maintain an active license at all times and display it during work hours.
Ability to perform ear‑piercing services in all stores.
Pass all required skill assessments and training courses.
Use sales data with product/brand knowledge to meet sales and beauty service goals.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Goal‑driven, able to multitask.
Work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple priorities.
Available to work a flexible retail schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours and peak hours.
Required to provide specific registration for Nevada applicants.
In certain stores, bilingual (English & Spanish) beauty advisors are required.
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior beauty sales experience with a strong passion for beauty.
Physical Requirements
Stand for extended periods and move throughout the store to provide excellent customer service, conduct services and perform other tasks such as stocking and display updates.
Stoop, kneel or crouch, and reach or grasp objects on lower shelves.
Perform duties requiring manual dexterity (e.g., hair styling, makeup applications, ear piercing).
Physical abilities support required qualifications listed above.
Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 hours per week.
Time Type Full time.
Pay Range $18.94 - $27.94 per hour, base pay varying based on experience, education, geography and other factors.
