Position Summary
Reporting to the Beverage Supervisor, the Bar Porter replenishes stock and performs cleaning behind the bar as required. The role checks and maintains bar stock, obtains replacement stock from warehouse inventory per established procedures, maintains cleanliness and order on assigned station, assists bartenders with retrieving guests' special requests, icing drink glasses, pouring non‑alcoholic drinks during busy times, and performs bartender functions during breaks.

The Bar Porter performs the service of replenishing stock and all required cleaning behind the bar. Checks and maintains the required bar stock on assigned station; obtains replacement stock from the warehouse inventory in accordance with established procedures; maintains cleanliness and order on assigned station; assists bartender in providing maximum efficiency and service levels by retrieving guests' special requests, and during busy times icing drink glasses and pouring non‑alcoholic drinks. Perform the functions of a bartender as needed for breaks. Essential Functions
Obtain supplies and equipment necessary for the assigned F&B outlet. Slices and pits fruit and supplies bartending team with appropriate garnishes necessary to the specific outlet. Provide accurate levels of beer and liquors, glassware, soaps and chemicals, silverware, beverage utensils, and any supplies necessary to the consistent operation of the bar. Wash and dry all glassware as specified by the safety and sanitation guidelines. Replace empty beer kegs and bag‑in‑box required to the assigned outlet. Keep area clean, sanitary and free of debris. Provide a safe environment for employees and visiting guests. Set up bars with necessary supplies, ice and tools required for the business levels forecasted. Leave assigned work area with appropriate level of supplies for incoming shifts. Assist all staff whenever necessary, ensuring acceptable guest service. Act as a role model and present oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourage others to do the same. Adhere to all department and company policies and procedures. Perform all related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Neat and clean appearance. Strong communication skills. Ability to work as a team player. Flexibility with scheduling to include nights, holidays and weekends. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel. Respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed. Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand. Education And Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Prior restaurant/bar service experience preferred. Required Certification/License
Must be able to obtain an Ohio Lottery Commission license.
