Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills while building retailer relationships. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from partner companies in the stores you service.
SALARY AND SCHEDULE DETAILS
Your starting hourly pay rate will be $14.25 to $16.25 depending on your skills and experience.
We provide paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training.
Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, etc.
Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours for this position are between 7‑8 hours per week.
Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
Your Role and Responsibilities You’ll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role consists of three major components:
Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a Hallmark mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory. Use technology for communication, reporting, surveys, and feedback. Professionally interact with store employees, management, and customers, and manage the full Hallmark product display.
Holiday support: Provide extra hours during and around holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. On peak holidays you may be required to work on the holiday itself, sometimes on weekends.
Department resets: Assist with installations, building fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting sections. Typically given two weeks’ notice for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration: Support other merchandisers in the Hallmark field network as needed.
Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job. You will work on the selling floor and back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, or display fixtures up to 30 pounds during the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, climbing stairs, and using step ladders are also required.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Read, write, and understand English.
Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
Consistent transportation to travel between assigned stores.
